Alcohol Licensing Procedure

All businesses within the City limits of Duluth that are interested in serving or selling any type of alcohol beverage (liquor, spirits, distilled beverages, beer, and/or wine) are required to obtain a local Alcohol Beverage License from the City of Duluth as well as a license from the State of Georgia.

As of 2025, the City of Duluth Alcohol License application for new businesses is now a part of the Occupational Tax Certificate (OTC) application.

You can begin applying for the OTC application by clicking here. When completing the application, make sure to select “Yes” to the question in the OTC application that says: “Will this business sell or serve alcohol?” to be directed to complete the alcohol application.

Alcohol License Renewals

The 2025–2026 online alcohol renewal links and instructions will be emailed to businesses by the end of April 2025. If you need another link, please email alcohol@duluthga.net.
